Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

My two friends and i walked in a couple minutes before lunch time and charged us for dinner.. When we pointed this out, the staff started treating us as if we were going to bail out on the bill. The whole time they were staring at us. Even to the point that one of their staff members sat across from us at the sushi bar facing us.. When we received the bill it stated that the time we were placed sitting was at 3: 26pm and the excuse they came up with was that their computer was behind 10 minutes so we had to pay dinner price. We ended up paying dinner cause we were just aggravated and wanted to leave. We went to the bathroom and saw one of their employees go into the bathroom with their apron to use the facility... I don't know about you, but I found that very disgusting and unsanitary.

Love this place!! I love that I can walk in a sushi chef knows my order Kobe is a great place to eat for family my family loves this place and I highly recommend it. The staff are all excellent.

If you want sushi that looks like it came up someone else's plate or quite possibly the chef just tore it with a fork this is the place for you

Great service! My family loves to eat here! Great sushi great price. They have lowered the price on kids' lunches and dinners which is awesome!

It may be O.K. if you like Sushi (bait). I don't. I went with some friends to try the buffet. It was terrible. Pot Stickers were hard around the edges, very little offerings at the salad bar. The shrimp at the salad bar was not peeled, probably so customers would not take very much. I had some Peking Chicken that was very dry and full of soy sauce. Most offerings on the buffet were not very good. At a "seniors." cost of almost $14.00 per person plus drinks this place is a rip off. There are at least two Japanese restaurants in Grants Pass that are much better and more reasonable plus you can order from a menu. I shall not return!

My husband and I were in grants pass celebrating his graduation and decided to try this place for lunch, we were both honestly a little skeptical about how the food would be since the price was so low and it was all you can eat sushi but decided to give it a try. So glad we did! I'm a sushi snob and I loved it!!! We sat at the bar and the chef was always making new rolls so there was a lot of choice and nothing looked like it sat for long. It tasted amazing! Fresh and he would come by us from time to time to ask if we wanted anything special. The food was so good that we went there for lunch again the next day, and it was just as good so not a fluke. My husband ate the sushi and tried the Chinese buffet as well, he said everything tastes good but honestly I just stayed by the sushi and gorged. Going here again in a few days when we pass through on our way to visit the in laws, probably will stop by again on the way home too

I absolutely love the variety and cuisine that is served here for a very fair Buffet price. The Sushi passes you by on little boats in water surrounding the Sushi bar. The staff does a great job tending to you and being very courteous.

Ouuuuiiii the food is bad... came with a friend that lives in Grants pass who sold me on the "value" lol. Geez where do i start, i'd say its like panda express's mentally challenged cousin making stale food. Also the sushi is very questionable, i found myself wondering why does this salmon have no color to it, it's almost grey. Plus there was a lot of mayo and cream cheese in the rolls. I'll admit I live in the SF bay area which has an abundance of good Chinese and Japanese restaurants at which i'm spoiled, but I can't recall a point in my life where i'd have thought this food was good. If you do find yourself here, stick to the hot an sour soup and probably the fried stuff.

Limited sushi selection. Boat river was pretty neat. Mongolian Bar-b-q was decent and the actual buffet was better than most Chinese buffets I've been to. I felt the staff was a bit push to get you out of there and not let you enjoy your meal.

This place is one of the worst sushi places I have been to! The food (other than the sushi) was cold and basically inedible. The sushi was old and most of the were slimy. I was thankful that I didn't end up getting sick!
(2)Jason A.
For the price what do you expect. Its not a sushi bar...its a buffet. with the right expectations this place is great. We went here December 31st and it was not crowded. The food was fresh and all tasted good. Hope they stay in business for future visits.

My husband and I very much enjoy this restaurant! The sushi is always fresh every time we go and the staff is always so nice (even if they do speak very little English). The buffet does have a nice selection, but it is not always stocked which is the only downfall. They also have a section where you are able to choose what you want cooked with what sauce you like and they cook it all together right in front of you. The sushi river is pretty pleasing to the eye as well! If you are not able to swoop something up before it passes you by, the sushi chef asks you which one you wanted and he will get it for you so you do not have to wait until it comes around again lol. The overall environment is quite relaxing also. As soon as you walk in and someone greets you, they ask if you would rather sit at the sushi bar or a table. The wait staff is very timely and polite. You are never left sitting there wondering where your waiter/waitress is and when they do come around you don't have to worry about them either wanting to chat for twenty minutes or being rude because you asked for something.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! This word does not even begin to describe this place. I have an open mind and am willing to try anything twice and gave this place 4 opportunities in which they fail every time. Cold food in the hot trays, horrible service, the smell of bad fish and the aftermath which will leave your stomach in shambles. Seafood in Grants Pass or any inland town/city is questionable and it is apparent here. Also highly expensive but in a town of gluttons I can see why they like it. $15 and all you can eat of the worst Chinese food and Sushi. All that's ever in there is fat people acting as if they are at their last supper. If your looking for better sushi may I suggest: Umi Sushi or G Street Sushi but they are not buffets, Sorry Gluttons

Not very fresh . Most was over cooked .very limited sushi. not much service. squid and octopus were very tough. The seaweed salad had a strange flavor and was mushy. There was a strange film on the cake.
(2)Joe M.
Good food and service was great..felt a little rushed but all in all I liked it and will return again for some good eats! Good food and a calm atmosphere made for a nice meal!!
(3)Marshall Z.
For all you can eat sushi and buffet this is the place. Right as you walk in you see the sushi bar and the river of sushi boats. They got this little river and about 30ish boats linked up with each other. Each boat has two pieces of sushi on them. Take the ones you want and enjoy. Sense this is a all you can eat place I recommend coming when its getting busy if not already. That way you get fresh sushi and fresh buffet. Come in when its slow and the sushi could be sitting for a little bit and begins to taste like store bought. Affordable prices and imported beer has me coming back for sure.

This place is relatively new, but their selection and food is great. If you're hungry and looking for a place to fill-up, this would be the place. Although I would have to say, their Chinese food is a lot better (well, given the place is run by Chinese). The nigiri at the sushi bar isn't bad, depending on which day you go (selection varies), however, it is 9/10 rice. Can't complain though for the price they charge, especially if you go for lunch ($8.75). Just be advised, it is a buffet, not a go-to place for high class sushi (for all those complaining). Getting there early usually gets you some great selections at the sushi bar. And if you love Chinese, their Chinese selection is pretty good, esepcially for Oregon.

This is a brand new place that is a very nice buffet with (unlimited!) sushi, Chinese food, and a Mongolian BBQ-style set up where they stir-fry things for you on the spot. The food is tasty and their chicken is good quality (unlike some Chinese food establishments), but I haven't tried their desserts yet because I was too full after eating there. It's very reasonably priced, too - I will be going back for more. In fact, it's lunch time now... hmmm....

Went here with my family while I was visiting. They've been bragging about this place for months so I was looking forward to it. They have a sushi buffet that is really cool. It's a 'river' of connected wooden boats with two plates of different sushi on it. They had a pretty nice cream cheese veggie roll and sesame chocolate ball. I didn't try out the Mongolian section but they do have a make your own noodle plate. The Chinese food was pretty meh. My family loved it but I wasn't impressed at all. They do have an expansive dessert section which is a change for Asian restaurants. Would I go here again? Only cause my family enjoyed it. Would it be on the top of my list after making the 4 hour drive from Portland? Not really.

You do take your life into your hands when you come here! I've always had good luck (i.e. no food poisoning) and it's an eating adventure. The staff doesn't explain how it works to you (eat all you want, pay as you're leaving); most of them don't speak much English. It takes awhile for service to happen (better to just get up and get it yourself). The place is not clean. Our table and napkin dispenser had so many fingerprints I was giggling from fear. The sushi travels in little boats through water channels around the sushi chefs' work area (which is fun), and there are surprises that include gobs of mayo, rubbery fish and fish that doesn't taste like it looks like it should. Choose wisely, my friends. On the plus side: the buffet is huge, and there's something that everyone is willing to eat, and it's cheap! My best friend loves this place!

This is a strong new offering in the grants pass area. The food is good, fresh and plentiful. While the sushi selection is limited it is good. The Peking duck is delish and there is a good variety of tasty Asian staples to satisfy the whole family. One unexpected bright point was the soft serve which has a good high fat content and dreamy smooth vanilla flavor. I look forward to many more visits to the establishment.

Hands down WORST SUSHI I've ever had. I ordered Hamachi (yellowtail) and they didn't even know what it was and it was on their menu! I went with a friend of mine and we grabbed a few rolls off the sushi boats and all of them were room temperature, not fresh sushi, and the rice was chewy because it's been sitting out for so long. At once point, we saw one of the waitress's children come out of the kitchen area asking for food and when getting their food, they went back into the kitchen. That was weird. It was way over priced for what it was, $15 per person. Yes it's all you can eat, but why would you want to eat this dog food? I'm surprised this place has good reviews. I'm assuming the people in Grants Pass don't know what real food is. I grew up in Grants Pass but now I live in LA. Now LA has EXCELLENT sushi. My friend and I even felt sick after eating at this place. We vowed to never return.

The last time my wife and I ate there, they did have alot of different types of food. They pretty much tasted similar to each other. My wife just had a large salad and had milk. I did try their Clam in the shell I had to go back for thirds, not much meat there' but it was good. I kept my distance, It kinda reminded me of the Old 3 Stooges Movie, when the Clam jumped out and pinched Curly on the nose,,,lol.

Went here last night with my boyfriend..honestly wasn't expecting much with it being a sushi buffet and all...(and for the"bad" reviews-honestly, if you have high sushi expectations, why would you go to a BUFFET? ! i.e. lady from LA..) Any ways, we went here with low expectations and were blown away with the quality of sushi for the price! Seriously, its about $14per person for dinner and you eat all the sushi you want..I make sushi and have eaten all of the sushi this town has to offer..this is really getting what you pay for! Go pay more money if you want better quality!
(4)Lowell G.
Well for starters I just don't think great sushi can be served buffet style.. So I didn't have too many pieces.. It's just quantity not quality.. Some of the other items are ok..
(3)Danielle W.
My husband and I go here before 3 so we get the lunch price at 8.99$ all you can eat. For 9$ dollars it's delicious! I usually get a mixture of hot food and sushi. I take a plate and get very small nibbles of each thing so I know what I want more of or what is not my thing. For all the clueless people who say, "this isn't good sushi, I'm from California where they have good sushi," this isn't necessarily a sushi place. They have to make it quick and for the 9 dollar price tag what the hell do you expect? Is there better sushi elsewhere? Yes. Are you getting what you paid for? Yes. Would I spend more than 10$ dollars per person? Probably not. If you want $15 dollar sushi rolls go somewhere else- give me a break. They were out of the sesame balls on the sushi boats so I asked if they could make more. They quickly made more and were nice and hot for me! Delicious and very nice of them to make them on the spot and quick! Good atmosphere, always a bunch of people there when I go and it isn't loud! My husband and I enjoy it :)

If you want sushi that is being rushed...you can go here... They serve the sushi on a floating boat. The sushi chefs have to hurry roll their sushies that makes all the rice in the roll very loose...though i love that seaweeds..my hubby found it pretty gross coz it taste very fishy. I hate the buffet its very greasy. None of the worker there spoke decent english..hard to communicate. Price tells you all.
(1)Scott C.
This place is more than just unlimited sushi, it has Mongolian BBQ, Chinese food and dessert bars too. The sushi is not top notch but the ingredients are fresh and the novelty of how it is served is worth the visit. The staff is friendly and helpful even during peak customer flow. Keep up the quality and the good work!
(4)Fred J.
When it first opened it was great. I have been there 4 times in the 6 months each time it has declined in food quality. We have had gut wrenching bowel movements to violent vomiting. We go there with at least 5 people to 9 people each time and at least 2/3 rds have these symptoms. Tonight was our last time.
(1)Melissa D.
Food was good, service was good, the restaurant was very clean. I plan on going back often.
(5)Mike W.
As with most buffets, some dishes taste better than others. The sushi is mainly flavored rice rolls, not a lot of raw fish. If you would buy a California roll at a good sushi restaurant, than you would probably enjoy their offerings. I liked the Mongolian BBQ chicken with veggies best. The beef was a little tough, but not bad. Soups were good as was some of the Chinese dim sum pieces. Service was attentive. My wife liked their seaweed salad. Buffet will never beat fresh, but not a bad place to graze on the cheap.
(3)Minnie J.
I went here and very much enjoyed it. Not a fancy place, but prices are pretty good and they do have a good selection.
(4)Bob I.
Okay, 3rd time here in the last month. More Nigiri sushi choices the last time I ate here, which makes me happy! Still good variety of rolls and other items sailing along on the boats and still plenty of Chinese choices as well. The Chinese dishes that I've tried have all been good, potstickers, various chicken dishes, broccoli beef, chow Mein good. Sushi is good, getting better with each visit.....more Nigiri, more creative rolls. I've tried most of the sushi choices that have sailed past me at the bar, still haven't had any I haven't enjoyed! It's tasty, and a darned good value for your dollar
(4)Dee Dee B.
Ate there for lunch today. The Buffett was a great value $8.99 all you can eat. Sushi came by on little river boats. Cool experience. Worth the trip for sure and DEFINITELY worth the price!
(5)Stan E.
I'd actually give it 3 1/2 stars, but I like I like this place. Lunch is about $10 for all you can eat. Dinner has a few more things on the menu and starts at about 3 p.m. Dinner is about $13. Not too bad considering the fact that one sushi dinner (a full roll) in California will cost in the $13 range. We usually try to go on a busier day. The food is being replace and there are no issues with freshness. I think that is a standard for any buffet, though. I like the sushi. If I ask for something that is not out on the little boats, they will make it right away for me. I like the Peking Chicken, they do a really good job on that. It's not the top of the line, fancy dining, but it's comfortable and a decent quality for a decent price. Call me backwards or uneducated, (I took offense to some of the slams again Grants Pass folks) but I always have fun here and leave happy, full, and I have never had stomach ailments after eating here.
